It’s been all go here at Rapid Facility Services as we hit the ground running in 2020 and we’re looking forward to an exciting year ahead. While we’ve been extremely busy with clients, we’re still proudly showing support for Totara Hospice and intend to keep this up for many years to come.
Totara Hospice strives for excellence when it comes to offering the best possible palliative care to those in need. Patients and their families are the sole focus for Totara Hospice and the work they do is invaluable.
To show our support for Totara Hospice, we offer general repair and maintenance services once a month. During that time with Totara Hospice, we give their premises a top to toe freshen up.
When the team got to Totara Hospice in January, they could see there was plenty to be done. This time, they focussed their attention on refreshing the paintwork and brightening up a few areas on the premises.
Rapid on the job bright and early
Our team know the value of showing up early. We like to take care with the work we do and strive for a same-day turnaround. Knowing there was plenty to get through for Totara Hospice in January, our team got to work bright and early.
The job this month was to give the pagoda a new lick of paint and spruce up some tired looking outdoor furniture. Before the day was out, Totara Hospice’s paintwork was looking as good as new.
There’s always plenty to do at Totara Hospice and we do whatever it is they need on the day.
When we return to Totara Hospice in February, we’re hoping to finish off some general roof repairs. As we’ve mentioned in earlier posts, the summer sun can damage roofs and we want to ensure Totara Hospice has a good, strong roof for the winter ahead.

Giving back to the community has always been one of our goals. When we first created Rapid Facility Services, we knew that we wanted to be the kind of business that gives back and therefore, we decided a good way to do this was to choose a charity.
And what better charity to choose than Totara Hospice?
Totara Hospice relies on charitable donations to make up for their government funding shortfall. Many people who have had experience with Hospice are happy to donate as they know how lucky we are to have such a compassionate organisation by our side at a time when we need it most.
However, Totara Hospice is always in need of donations so if you’re considering donating to a worthwhile charity, we can’t recommend them enough. And, if you see a donation collection station out and about, be sure to drop a few coins in.
Every little bit counts and it’s important to that we all support Totara Hospice any way we can.
You too can show support for Totara Hospice in February
Fundraising events are one of the best ways for Totara Hospice to raise the funds they need to continue with their amazing work.
On Sunday 16 February, Totara Hospice is hosting Boogie in the Vines. This fun event will be held in Turanga Creek Vineyard where you can enjoy some fantastic music by bands Halo and 80sX among the vines in the summer sunshine.
Totara Hospice wants you to make a real day of it so bring your seats and shade and choose your spot on the grass. Pre-order a picnic pack and pick it up on the day. Everything you need for a great day of grazing will be in the pack. These won’t be available to purchase on the day so be sure to order your picnic pack when you purchase your ticket!
The Pasta Masta food truck will also be parked up at the event, ready to dish out some authentic, delicious pasta dishes.
If you’re feeling like something a bit special, opt for the VIP Fine Dining Experience. These tickets will buy you a seat at the Turanga Creek Restaurant where you’ll enjoy a degustation menu and matching wines. Enjoy your beautiful meal while listening to the concert.
